Inspired by the STEIM cracklebox, Mike Blow and Circus Kinetica joined forces to create these sculptural instruments which can be played by touch. An example of 'circuit bending', where the sound of an electronic circuit is altered by skin resistance.
About Circus Kinetica
Circus Kinetica is a growing Brighton based Arts collective at the heart of which are James Caldicott and Samuel Apley. It was formed in June 2007 and produces sculptural work with a focus on recycled/reused, naturally powered, interactive mechanical automata and autostrumenta(self playing instruments).
